Spot welding
Also called contact welding.
It is a welding process in which two separate metal parts are pressed together with the electrodes of the machine through which current flows.
Under the influence of pressure and current, the metal at this joint melts and a permanent joint is formed.
Cost optimization
Quick development
Serial production
Advantage
The spot welding process is fast and does not require the use of additional gas or welding additives, so it is more profitable than classic welding.
After this, slag does not appear, which greatly speeds up the post-processing of the products. Spot welding is particularly advantageous in series production.
Usage
Since spot welding is possible only up to a certain material thickness and workpieces can only be connected in a parallel position, it is used directly for welding sheet products and nuts.
